Contact Lenses
Contact lenses are a convenient and comfortable way to correct vision while maintaining a natural field of view. At Look Optometry, we offer a wide range of contact lens options to suit different prescriptions, lifestyles, and eye conditions. Whether you are new to contact lenses or looking for a more specialized solution, our team will help determine the best lens type for your eyes.
During your contact lens assessment, we evaluate the health of your eyes, measure the shape of your cornea, and determine which lenses will provide the best vision and comfort. Proper fitting is essential to ensure healthy lens wear and optimal visual performance.
Types of Contact Lenses We Offer
Soft Contact Lenses
Soft lenses are the most commonly worn contact lenses. They are comfortable, easy to adapt to, and available in daily, bi-weekly, or monthly replacement schedules.
Multifocal Contact Lenses
Multifocal lenses allow patients to see clearly at distance, intermediate, and near. They are commonly used for patients who need reading correction but would like to continue wearing contact lenses.
Myopia Control Contact Lenses
These specialized lenses are designed for children and teenagers to help slow the progression of myopia (nearsightedness). Myopia management lenses can play an important role in protecting long-term eye health.
Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) Lenses
RGP lenses provide crisp, stable vision and are often used for patients with higher prescriptions or irregular corneas. Although slightly smaller and firmer than soft lenses, they can provide excellent visual clarity.
Scleral Contact Lenses
Scleral lenses are larger specialty lenses that vault over the cornea and rest on the white part of the eye. They are commonly used for patients with corneal diseases such as keratoconus, as well as for severe dry eye disease. Scleral lenses can provide both improved vision and significant comfort for patients with challenging eye conditions.
Orthokeratology (Ortho-K)
Ortho-K lenses are worn overnight to gently reshape the surface of the cornea while you sleep. This allows many patients to see clearly during the day without glasses or contact lenses. Ortho-K is also commonly used as part of myopia management for children.
Our team will help determine which contact lens option is best suited to your vision needs and eye health. If you are interested in contact lenses or would like to explore specialty lenses, we would be happy to schedule a contact lens consultation.
