Your IPL session,

Dr. Bhullar assesses your meibomian glands and confirms you're a good candidate for IPL. Takes about 30 minutes.
Rachel applies a cooling gel and protective eye shields. The treatment area is cleaned and prepped.
Gentle pulses of light are applied across the cheeks and lower eyelids. Most patients describe it as a warm sensation. Takes 10–15 minutes.
Immediately after IPL, the softened glands are expressed to clear blockages and restore healthy oil flow.

Most patients describe IPL as a warm sensation — like a light snap or gentle heat. It's very well tolerated. Rachel applies cooling gel beforehand to maximize your comfort throughout the session.
Most patients notice meaningful improvement after 2–3 sessions. A complete cycle of 4 sessions (with your 5th complimentary) gives the best long-term results. Sessions are typically spaced 3–4 weeks apart.
Each IPL session takes approximately 15–20 minutes. Your first visit will be longer as it includes your dry eye evaluation and consultation with Dr. Bhullar.
No downtime. Most patients return to normal activities immediately. Some mild redness or warmth around the treatment area can occur but typically resolves within a few hours.
Coverage varies by plan. We offer direct billing and will check your benefits before your first appointment — just ask when you book.
